The Triumph Bonneville arrived at what aficionados consider its ultimate specification with the launch of the 1968 model. By this time the frame had been sorted and 12-volt electrics standardised, while welcome improvements included shuttle-valve fork internals; independently adjustable ignition points; Amal Concentric carburettors; and a long overdue twin-leading-shoe front brake.
Belonging to the last Bonneville generation built before BSA-Triumph introduced the controversial oil-in-frame range, this example was purchased by the vendor some time ago. Kept in a climate-controlled environment as part of a collection, it has been used sparingly and comes with a Swiss carte grise.

La Triumph Bonneville a atteint avec le lancement du modèle 1968 ce que ses fans considèrent être son apogée. Son cadre avait alors été remis en ordre, son circuit 12 volts adopté en série et l'on trouvait parmi ses améliorations bienvenues des clapets à l'intérieur des fourches, un allumage réglable séparément, des carburateurs Amal Concentric et un frein avant à deux segments comprimés, attendu de longue date.
Cet exemplaire fait partie de la dernière génération de Bonneville produites avant que BSA-Triumph n'ait introduit sa gamme controversée dite 'oil-in-frame', à cadre faisant office de réservoir d'huile. Acheté il y a quelque temps par son actuel propriétaire, il a été conservé au sein de sa collection maintenue sous atmosphère contrôlée et a été utilisé avec parcimonie. Il est muni de sa carte grise suisse.
