Bloodhound LSR (Land Speed Record) model

Large moulded resin model, lacquered blue and orange. In the form of a rocket, it represents the Thrust SSC land vehicle, the Bloodhound LSR, designed by Scotsman Richard Noble and driven by Englishman Andy Green. The vehicle is designed to travel at supersonic speeds in order to set a new world land speed record by breaking the barrier of 1,000 mph (1,609 kmph). After an encouraging test in 2017 at Newquay airport in Cornwall in the south of England, the record attempt was to take place in 2020 in South Africa. Unfortunately, various difficulties led to the project being put on standby, and so it remains as sponsors are sought.
Scale 1:10 - 130 x 55 x 40 cm
