1925 Mercedes 15/70/100HP Tourer
Registration no. not UK registered
Chassis no. 29028
Engine no. 44527

• Supercharged supercar of its day
• Matching chassis and engine from Pullman limousine
• Tourer body believed fitted in period
• FIVA identity papers

Imposing and handsome, this supercharged Mercedes-Benz tourer can comfortably accommodate seven passengers. The car is finished in grey with charcoal-coloured wings, black leather interior and matching carpets, and a dark grey hood. The paint and brightwork are all in good condition. The instrument panel is an attractive varnished burr, housing the oil and temperature gauges, a speedometer, and a clock. The engine bay is nicely detailed without being overdone, while the underpinnings are similarly good condition. A handsome luggage trunk by Ernest Chevallier of Geneva is carried at the rear. Other notable features include Robert Bosch headlamps; large side lamps; an external Bosch horn; Bosch spotlights on both windscreen posts; dual side-mounted spare wheels, and Michelin X radial tyres, the latter chosen for their superior driving characteristics.

Interestingly, the copy commission papers on file indicate that the matching-numbers engine and chassis originally started life in a Pullman limousine. The original body plate's number is different from that shown on the commission sheet, it being believed that this is an original tourer body that was swapped long ago, possibly in period. This car also comes with FIVA identity papers (issued in 1996) and several service invoices from 2000. Ready for rallying or continental touring, this mighty Mercedes-Benz would grace an collection of fine Vintage-era motor cars.
