This C16 model-code car was delivered new to the UK on 7th June 1973 by Motortune Limited, Brompton Road, London SW3 to a Mr John Patrick Heyward of Little Haseley, Oxfordshire. The original exterior colour was Bahia Red, while the factory fitted options were as follows: 102; 409; 423; 569; 650; and 651. The current owner's late husband acquired the Porsche in May 1976.

The car has covered a documented circa 68,800 miles and still retains the orange colour of the enamel bonnet badge, a rare original feature. Servicing is recorded on 19th February 1974 by Motortune at 11,565 miles; by Hassop Motor Company in 1976 at 28,000 miles; by Hassop Motors (oil change) on 12th December 1976 at 29,403 miles; by Hassop Motors in 1979 at 35,400 miles; by Hassop Motors at 41,200 miles and by AFN in 1985. In 1998, the car was subject to a bare metal respray by Kevin O'Rourke of Moto Technique, with photographs on file. Between 1998-1999, the engine was rebuilt by Winslow Motor Services and the gearbox was subsequently rebuilt in 2002 by JZ Machtech. Handwritten notes record oil changes in September 2014, February 2018 at 66,000 miles, and November 2021 at 67,900 miles. In 2021 new discs and brake pads were fitted all round at 67,779 miles and the car also underwent a service. In 2022 new Pirelli Cinturato tyres were fitted. It is offered with MoT certificates that verify the mileage from 1976 to the present day, significant invoices for the engine and gearbox rebuilds, invoices and photographs for the bodywork restoration and respray by Moto Technique, numerous parts from AFN, and sundry invoices until 2022. Recorded on the Carrera RS Register, this beautiful example has been cherished by the late enthusiast owner throughout almost its entire its life and is worthy of the closest inspection.
