"On taking over the DB6 one is immediately astonished by its flexibility. In spite of multiple carburettor chokes, it will idle through traffic like a dowager's limousine and will accelerate on a high gear in a manner which is rare even among the biggest V8 power units." - John Bolster, Autosport, 21st October 1966, reviewing the Aston Martin DB6 Vantage.

Dispatched new to dealer Arnold G Wilson and first registered on 14th March 1969, this Aston Martin DB6 Vantage is offered in its original colour combination of Dubonnet Rosso with Natural Connolly hide interior, and retains its original engine. Purchased by the current vendor in 2019, the Aston has been used as its maker intended, completing multiple lengthy tours throughout the UK. The vendor reports that the car is in good working condition; that the engine is strong and the ZF five-speed gearbox is working well. The paintwork retains a deep shine but is showing some blemishes in places, as one might expect with an enthusiastically campaigned example. The interior is generally in very good order: the seats and carpets present well, as do the instrument panel and dials, showing a light patina. Dry stored within the current vendor's private collection, this example has been maintained by marque specialists throughout the present ownership and comes with a sizeable history file containing many old maintenance bills; the original Aston Martin Heritage Certificate; various old MoTs; sundry recent bills; and the current UK V5C registration document.
