THE CAR OFFERED
With the E-Body Dodge Challenger and its sister car, the Plymouth 'Cuda, Chrysler created some of the most memorable – and ultimately collectible – muscle cars of all time. Despite a relatively short run, the E-body Challenger/'Cuda are considered muscle car royalty by many.
This 1970 Challenger R/T Convertible from the Golden State Muscle Car Collection is a truly sublime example – in more ways than one! Finished in the factory 'Hi-Impact' color of Sublime green with a white stripe and top, this fabulous Dodge is powered by a 383 Magnum backed by a 4-speed manual gearbox. It has been documented by marque specialist Galen Govier and is reportedly one of just 149 4-speed convertibles. It is the subject of a detailed, photo-documented restoration, retaining its numbers-matching engine, while the broadcast sheet and fender tag have been fully decoded by Mr. Govier, with documentation included.
Notable options include power brakes, bucket seats, Rallye instruments, tachometer, sport hood, longitudinal stripes, and AM Stereo with 8-track. Part of the Golden State Muscle Car Collection since 2005, the file traces ownership through Oregon and Washington State back to 1976.
This rare and eminently collectible Dodge Challenger R/T Convertible is surely of the standouts in the Golden State Muscle Car Collection and will make an unforgettable centerpiece in your stable of Detroit iron.
