THE FERRARI 812 COMPETIZIONE

At the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, Ferrari the new 812 Superfast. The latest in a long line of front-engine twelve-cylinder flagship GTs, that was famously revived with the 550 Maranello, the 812 Superfast was the successor to the F12 Berlinetta and marketed by Maranello as "the fastest and most powerful Ferrari yet." The car was met with acclaim by journalists and commentators, though some in the motoring press were so astounded by the car's performance they nicknamed it the "Toofast."

Regardless, Ferrari engineers squeezed even more performance out of the car, continuing the legacy of cars like the 599 GTO and the F12TdF. In the creation of the new 812 Competizione, engineers first turned their attention to the 6.5-liter V12 engine, fitting lighter internals, new cylinder heads, and employing new tricks via low-friction coatings and revised oiling to unleash a mind-blowing 819 horsepower, made on the way to a stratospheric 9,500rpm redline. Revised aerodynamic tweaks were applied all over the body to help to keep the 812 Comp planted, and a wind-tunnel tuned rear panel replaced the rear windscreen, becoming one of the Competizione's most distinctive features.
It is widely believed that the 812 Competizione will be Ferrari's final non-hybrid, naturally aspirated 12-cylinder supercar, closing the book on a legacy that stretches back to 1947. After announcing just 500 examples would be produced, all were snapped up in short order, ensuring the 812 Competizione's status as an instant classic.

THE CAR OFFERED

Showing just 588 miles from new, this car is equipped with nearly $130,000 in factory bespoke options, most notably the stunning Extracampionaro (off catalogue) paintwork in Blu Elettrico 2020 with Giallo Fly livery accents. It abounds with fabulous details, with 20-inch wheels shod with yellow-accented Pirelli tires, yellow calipers, and exposed carbon trim. The theme continues inside with the absolutely striking Blu Medio leather-trimmed Daytona racing seats, Nuovo Giallo accents, and contrasting yellow stitching. The window sticker and specifications plate denote carbon fiber features include a rear diffuser, front air vents, under door covers, instrument panel, parcel shelf, upper console, and dash inserts. Additionally, the car includes adaptive headlamps, suspension lifting system for easier low-speed maneuvering, diamond polished forged wheels, high-power audio system, and Scuderia shields.

With just 588 miles shown at the time of cataloguing, and its wealth of special features, this unique 812 Competizione presents collectors with a one-off opportunity to add one of these long sold-out models to your stable. Most recently serviced at a Ferrari Main Dealer in May of this year, the car is complete with two keys, its original car cover and charger. Carrying the torch passed on from the F12 TdF and 599 GTO before it, the 812 Competizione will undoubtedly stand proudly as one of the most collectible and coveted Ferraris of a generation.
