In the late 1980s/early 1990s one of the foremost teams contesting the new international 'Sound of Singles' class was Belgarda, official Yamaha importers for Italy, whose first effort used the Paris-Dakar OW94 engine. Belgarda went on to develop the project further, raiding the Yamaha parts bin to combine the five-valve engine from the XTZ660 trail bike with a TZR-type aluminium twin-spar frame. Add an 'upside-down' front fork, mono-shock rear suspension, Brembo brakes (4-piston front, 2-piston rear), three-spoke alloy wheels, and sexily curvaceous bodywork, and you have an appealing package. Production roadster (SZR660) and racing versions were offered. Described as an 'ex-Vittoriano Guareschi' machine from 1994 (since repainted), this SoS racer comes with spares to include a radiator, crankshaft assemblies (x2), exhaust pipes (x2), cylinder barrels (x2), etc. Offered with sales receipt.

As with all Lots in the Sale, this Lot is sold 'as is/where is' and Bidders must satisfy themselves as to the provenance, condition, age, completeness and originality prior to bidding.

La charnière des années 1980/1990, l'une des écuries les plus en vue dans la nouvelle catégorie internationale 'Sound of Singles' était Belgarda, l'importateur officiel de Yamaha pour l'Italie, qui fit ses premières tentatives avec le moteur OW94 du Paris-Dakar. Belgarda approfondit son projet en récupérant des composants Yamaha et en associant le moteur à cinq soupapes de la XTZ660 de trail à un cadre à deux longerons en aluminium de type TZR. A cela s'ajoutaient une fourche avant inversée, une suspension arrière à amortisseur unique, des freins Bembo (des 4 pistons à l'avant et des 2 pistons à l'arrière), des roues alu à trois branches et un carénage aux courbes sexy, le tout donnant un ensemble des plus séduisants. Cette 'SoS' de course décrite comme une moto de 1994 autrefois pilotée par Vittoriano Guareschi et repeinte depuis est proposée avec des pièces de rechange dont un radiateur, des vilebrequins assemblés (x2), des lignes d'échappement (x2), des chemises de cylindres (x2), etc. Un reçu de sa vente est présent au dossier.

De même que tous les lots de cette vente, ce lot est vendu 'en l'état et à l'endroit où il se trouve' et les enchérisseurs doivent en vérifier la provenance, l'état, l'âge, la complétude et l'authenticité avant d'enchérir.
