Camille Jenatzy (the Red Devil) enjoyed great success building and driving race cars around the turn of the century. He took over his father's tyre business with his brother and commissioned Gaudy to design a poster for the company, showing him winning the 1903 Gordon Bennett Cup in his Mercedes.

Camille Jenatzy (le Diable rouge) a eu beaucoup de succès dans la construction et la conduite de voitures de course au tournant du siècle. Avec son frère, il reprend l'entreprise de pneus de leur père et charge Gaudy de créer une affiche pour l'entreprise, le montrant remportant la coupe Gordon Bennett de 1903 dans sa Mercedes.
