One of only 800 examples made, this Ferrari 365 GT 2+2 Queen Mary has spent its entire life in Europe, which is rare because most would have been exported to North America. Chassis number '11899' was originally finished in Argento Metallizzato with beige Connolly interior trim, and was delivered with the yellow headlight lenses required for French-market cars. The Ferrari was delivered new by Ferrari agent Garage Méditerranée in Nice, France to its first owner in August 1969. The first owner, Compagnie Industrielle et de Recherche, decided to lease the car for the first four years of its life. '11899' comes with a detailed history of its owners, all in France before it went to Luxembourg in 2011. The car spent almost his entire life in the country where it was delivered new.
This last owner in Luxembourg spent a lot of money on keeping the Ferrari in top condition. It received a complete repaint (in a darker shade of grey) after the body had been refurbished, and still presents in fabulous condition body-wise, with completely straight panelling and precise panel gaps. The dark grey colour suits the Queen Mary very well and accentuates its graceful lines very nicely. This car still retains its all important matching-numbers engine, which sounds like a Ferrari V12 Colombo should.

All exterior chrome parts have recently been refinished to bring them back to 'as new' condition. This includes the door handles, the front and rear bumpers, the spinners and the tail light surrounds. (The spinners on this car are still the correct and original Ferrari spinners for this model.) The original magnesium Ferrari wheels were refurbished and refinished in silver, as per the original. At the front of the car, we can still see remnants of its French history in the form of the original yellow headlights. Within the interior we find beautifully finished dark beige leather trim. Due to the original interior's age-related defects, the seats and door panels have been completely and beautifully retrimmed with the finest quality leather. This beige colour is not only magnificent on its own, but also contrasts very nicely with the dark grey exterior.

From the factory, this Ferrari Queen Mary was finished with all the 'bells and whistles' a Gran Turismo of this period should have: electric windows, power steering, and four seatbelts. When looking at the 365's immense luggage space, which can easily accommodate cargo for four people, it is easy to understand why this highly practical model was so popular for both long-distance touring and day-to-day travel.

In 2020 this car received a major overhaul of the fuel system and the brakes, while a few years prior the gearbox had been overhauled and fitted with new synchros. A new and correct Ansa exhaust was installed this year. This, together with the excellent bodywork and paint, new interior, new chrome and refurbished wheels, means that the car is in very good condition, both cosmetically and mechanically. The car comes with a Ferrari leather pouch with original manual, original parts manual, numerous documents and service invoices, list of owners and a Massini Report.

This 365 GT 2+2 Queen Mary presents a unique opportunity to acquire a very well kept and equally well documented Ferrari. Presented in a very attractive colour combination and in absolutely top condition, it is now ready to be enjoyed for many more kilometres to come. A guaranteed head-turner, this superb four-seater GT from the 1960s, with its fabulous Colombo V12 engine, really is a blast to drive!
