1933 Austin 10/4 Patrick Special Coupé

1933 Austin 10/4 Patrick Special Coupé
Coachwork by Patrick Motors Ltd

Registration no. BV 2593
Chassis no. GS672
Engine no. IG15875

Its short-lived coachbuilding partnership with Jensen having failed, Birmingham-based Patrick Motors decided to go it alone, announcing its first product, on the Wolseley Hornet chassis, in 1931. Other efforts on Triumph Southern Cross and Rover Meteor chassis followed in 1932, the latter earning itself a place in the Rover catalogue. The firm announced a foursome coupé on the Austin 10/4 chassis in 1933, and that too would gain official blessing, appearing in the Austin catalogue. However, its introduction seems to have marked the end of Patrick Motors' involvement with coachbuilding.

This ultra-rare example of Patrick Motors' coachbuilding was first registered on 1st August 1933. The Austin was registered to The Patrick Collection in December 1984 having been acquired as a semi-dismantled 'barn find' in need of complete restoration. Offered for restoration and sold strictly as viewed, this potentially most worthwhile project is offered with an old-style V5C registration document.
