Every so often a model comes along that rewrites the rulebook for sports motorcycles, one of the most influential of modern times being Honda's FireBlade. Launched in 1992, the FireBlade blew away the opposition - principally Yamaha's FZR1000 and Suzuki's GSX-R1100 - with its combination of litre-bike performance and a 600-sized package. Superbly styled and evocatively titled, it was recognised as a future classic almost immediately, and early and unmolested examples command high prices today.
Offered here is a stunning example of the original and much sought-after 1992 twin-headlamp Honda CBR900RR FireBlade, finished in the rare Black and Grey colour scheme. This machine has been maintained regardless of cost and was beautifully restored during its most recent ownership, including a full engine service and check of all tolerances. Only 2 miles have been covered since the restoration's completion. The 'Blade originated overseas but is supplied with a file of documents including a dating certificate authenticating the frame and engine number as correct for the year. Also included is the original tool kit and service book, as well as a quantity of restoration receipts. A rare opportunity to own a very usable example of this iconic Honda sports bike. Offered with a V5C.
