1967 Triumph 649cc T120 Bonneville
Registration no. SYC 234F
Frame no. DU 67606
Engine no. DU 67606

Unitary construction of the engine/gearbox had been a feature of Triumph's 350 and 500 twins since 1957, and that innovation duly appeared on the 650cc models in 1963. The café racers' favourite since its introduction, thanks to its lusty acceleration and a top speed approaching 120mph, the Bonneville continued in this new form as Triumph's top-of-the-range sports roadster.

This particular T120 Bonneville dates from 1967, by which time the handling problems associated with earlier versions had been sorted out and more reliable 12-volt electrics standardised. A 1968 model, the pristine example we offer was manufactured in August 1967 and supplied to the Triumph Corporation, Baltimore, USA later that same month. The Bonnie was purchased from the sale of a deceased's estate by the current vendor in late 2021 and subsequently restored with no expense spared. Presented in concours condition throughout, this beautifully restored Bonneville has been 'test' run but will require careful running in before serious use. Accompanying paperwork includes a Triumph OC dating letter; HMR&C and DVLA correspondence; and a current V5C Registration Certificate stating one former keeper (in the UK). Workshop manual copies, new rear alloy on black licence plate and optional tank rubbers are included in the sale. Key present.
