Footnotes
This particular plug was made specially for the Levis machine by K.L.G. in 1922. It is their model 180 which was the most advanced type at that time. It has a reduced hexagon which was necessary in order to get it into the deeply flanged Levis cylinder head.
Davidson took 3hrs 46mins 56secs to cover the 188¾ miles, his average speed was 49.89mph.
He raced mostly Levis machines during his racing career from 1921 until 1925. He finished first in the 1922 Lightweight TT, 1922 Lightweight French Grand Prix, 1922 Lightweight Belgian Grand Prix, with numerous places in other races.
All lots are sold 'as is/where is' and Bidders must satisfy themselves as to the provenance, condition, age, completeness and originality prior to bidding.
