Associated Motor Cycles returned to the 250cc class in 1958 with a brace of all-new models. Shared by the AJS Model 14 and Matchless G2, the four-stroke, overhead-valve power unit incorporated its oil tank within the crankcase and appeared to be of unitary construction, although a separate gearbox was retained. Super sports 'CSR' roadsters arrived in 1962 and continued in production after the basic G2/14 was dropped in July 1963, finally disappearing from the range in 1966. One of AMC's final 250cc lightweights, this 1963 AJS Model 14 CSR has been owned by the vendor for only a short while: not much has been done since its acquisition and little history is known. Last run earlier this year, the machine is offered with an old-style V5 document.

For Memorabilia and Spares (Lots 1-117) the Buyers Premium is 27.5% on the first £20,000 of the hammer price; 26% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £20,000 up to and including £700,000; 20% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £700,000 up to and including £4,500,000 and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.

For Motorcycles (Lots 201-276 & 301-560) the Buyers Premium will be 15% on the first £500,000 of the Hammer Price of each Lot, and 12% on the balance thereafter.
Buyers attention is drawn to Condition 7 of the Notice to Bidders. VAT at the standard rate is payable on the Premium by all Buyers, unless otherwise stated.
