2005 Michaelson Board Track Racer Replica

2005 Michaelson Board Track Racer Replica
Frame no. 02214464

The Michaelson Motorcycle Company was founded in the early 1910s by four brothers in the great Twin Cites area of Minnesota. The Michaelson brothers Jack, Walter, Joe and Anton developed a motorcycle whose design was one of the freshest and advanced concepts to be introduced in a fast-growing industry. Main engineer and mechanic, Joe used his experienced to create strong twin and single cylinder engines to power Michaelson and sister company, Minneapolis' motorcycles aiming at creating some of the fastest machines at the time. The Michaelson Motor Company's manufacturing plant was in a brick building at 526-530 Fifth Street South in Minneapolis.

Two generations after them, Ky Michaelson, passionate about his family's adventures and creations, and having inherited this gearhead instinct decided to revive the four brothers' spirit and bring the company back to life through the (re)creation of a motorcycle the same way the four brothers would have done, with some of today's engineering. The board tracker style is immediately recognizable with the light bicycle-like tubular frame hosting a large twin-cylinder OHV engine. Used as a display piece, the bike offered today has been used less than 10 miles since new.
