Nigel Mansell's 1985 Formula 1 Race-winning Arai full-face helmet,

worn at the Belgian Grand Prix 15th September (at Spa-Francorchamps/2nd), European Grand Prix 6th October (at Brands Hatch/1st), South African Grand Prix 19th October (Kyalami/1st) and the Australian Grand Prix 3rd November (Adelaide/retired), patriotic design, worn driving for Canon Williams Honda, with sponsors' logos for Hugo Boss, Denim, Canon, Arai, with distinctive chips and marks to crown (race worn), and clear visor with Mobil 1 logo strip, right side visor plate chipped with loss.

On the 6th October 1985, the promise shown in the previous race at Spa, when Mansell finished 2nd, was rewarded with his first Formula 1 career race victory. In a incident packed race, Mansell started from 3rd on the grid and managed to avoid all the action around him, overtaking the race leader Ayrton Senna, and then cruising to victory with a lead of 21.396 seconds.

This helmet was also worn at his second race victory a matter of weeks later in Kyalami, South Africa.

Buyers' Premium and Charges
For all Sales categories, buyer's premium excluding Cars, Motorbikes, Wine, Whisky and Coin & Medal sales, will be as follows:
Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
A 3rd party bidding platform fee of 4% of the Hammer Price for Buyers using the following bidding platforms will be added to the invoices of successful Buyers for auctions starting on or after 6th July 2024 – Invaluable; Live Auctioneers; The Saleroom; Lot-tissimo.
VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
