BMW Alpina B12 5.7 berline 1996

1996 BMW Alpina B12 5.7 Sports Saloon
Chassis no. WAPBC57L06RD30035

Based on BMW's 7-Series 750i (E38), this Alpina B12 5.7 is powered by a modified 5,646cc V12 engine producing 382bhp. It is one of only 202 produced. The car was delivered new by Garage Carlo Schmitz in Mersch, Luxembourg to a Mr Back, an Alpina enthusiast, who ensured that it was well maintained. Mr Francis Schammo from Garage Schmitz has confirmed that Mr Back was meticulous and that it was he that decided to change the car's front end to that of the later, face-lifted 750i. This was the owner's preference and was not done because of an accident.

The car was used until 2004 before being stored and sold to a gentleman who lived between Luxembourg and the south of France. The second owner did not use the car very much, and in 2016 it was sold to the current vendor. The car runs correctly but needs to be serviced (it has not been used for 10 years) while the bodywork requires some minor remedial works. Accompanying paperwork includes an Alpina homologation document for France; copy of the original registration document; various historical documents; and all instruction manuals and the service book, the latter last stamped at 131,000km by Garage Schmitz (the current odometer reading is 158,745km).
