Footnotes

Chassis no. 303837
Engine no. 3080038

Few sports cars have proved as versatile as Porsche's perennial 911, a model that, for the past almost 60 years, has proved equally capable as a Grand Tourer, circuit racer or rally car. This particular 911 is one of the early, short-wheelbase cars of the type much favoured by the historic rallying fraternity. It belongs to the '0-Programme' series built from the start of production in August 1964 up to the introduction of the 'A-Programme' model in August 1967, and thus represents the Porsche 911 in its earliest and purest form.

A 1965 model, this car was delivered in 1966. Subsequently it was prepared for historic competition and has been competing in France since the early 2000s. It was restored by Red Silver in 2003 (restoration photographs on file) and took part that year's Le Mans Classic, driven by Hervé Delaunay.
In 2007, the car was sold and subsequently raced in VdeV Historique with Jean-Pierre Miler. In 2012, it was acquired by Daniel Droit Racing. After an FIA HTP had been obtained, its current gentleman-driver owner purchased the 911 in 2016. In 2018 he entered the Le Mans Classic and took part in the Porsche Classic Race, finishing without a hitch with a fastest lap in 6 minutes 13 seconds. In 2020, the 911 participated in the Tour Auto Optic 2000, finishing 12th in Group G at the finish. Already entered in the 2022 Le Mans Classic (in the Porsche Classic Race), it affords its next owner the opportunity to race it on the famous Le Mans circuit.
The car is in FIA specification in accordance with the period homologation form. Equipped with Weber carburettors, the 2.0-litre engine was tested by Crubilé Sport in 2016 and found to produce 182.8bhp at 6,948rpm and 145.5lb/ft of torque. It is, of course, equipped with all the homologated safety equipment required for historic competition: six-point roll cage; Sparco bucket seats; RRS harnesses; complete extinguisher system with nozzles (to be updated); interior and exterior circuit-breakers; HKZ box, etc.
The car is offered with a file containing numerous invoices dated from the last five years, mostly for parts acquired from Rose Passion; an expertise dated 2017; the FFSA technical passport; the FIA HTP; and a French registration document.
