Honda CB1100 S – 2014
Cadre n° JH2SC65C4EK001063

2014 Honda CB1100 S
Frame no. JH2SC65C4EK001063

Nowadays every mainstream manufacturer has to have a 'retro' model or two in the range, and when looking through its back catalogue for inspiration Honda made the obvious choice: basing its CB1100 on the trend-setting CB750 of 1968. "The CB1100 is a beautiful recreation of an air-cooled inline four; it's easy to handle and novice friendly and it has fantastic detailing inspired by bikes of old," declared Motor Cycle News. Deliveries to Japan, Australia and New Zealand began in 2011, while the rest of the world had to wait until 2013. Boasting Honda's first air-cooled multi-cylinder engine for 20 years, the CB1100 had a relatively modest maximum power output of 88bhp, but of far greater significance for its target market would have been the remarkably flat torque curve and consequently generous mid-range thrust. The CB1100 was no lightweight though, tipping the scales at 240kg wet. Being a Honda, its build quality was second to none. "It's all executed brilliantly," enthused MCN. "The finish is glorious, the attention to detail superb."

The example offered here has never been registered with literally 1 kilometre recorded on the odometer and is offered with a copy of its original purchase invoice.
