Registration no. SSY 427
Frame no. D11275

Previously the property of a long-term owner, now deceased, the vendor advises that the last owner restored this machine and converted it to Bonneville specification during the 1990s, and used the machine regularly thereafter. It is believed to have started life as a Thunderbird model prior to its conversion, and the restorer utilised many stainless steel fasteners and stainless rims and spokes when rebuilding the wheels. It has all the features of the T120, including the twin Monobloc carbs on the correct-type twin carb cylinder head, the cycle parts, and the tachometer driven from the timing cover. It is painted in the fetching two-tone blue colour scheme used on the Bonneville in the 1960 model year; arguably aesthetically more pleasing than the more common 1961 colour scheme. SSY 427 represents tremendous value for the same riding experience, and will provide a new owner with great fun. Used only very occasionally in the present ownership, the engine has been turned over at regular intervals, and was last started earlier this year. It will require only light re-commissioning and basic safety checks prior to use on the road. Please note that the engine number is not a factory stamping. Documentation comprises a current V5C, an old-type V5C, some photographs, invoices, and an old MoT certificate. The bike is presently on SORN.
