'The K1600GT, meanwhile, follows as the direct successor to the K1300GT sport-touring four-cylinder but is a huge leap forward, both in chassis behavior and, of course, engine refinement and power delivery.'
Cycle World Announced at the Intermot motorcycle show of Cologne in 2010, the new K1600 line of BMW reopened the path of older attempts to implement a six-cylinder engine in a motorcycle frame. Producing 1,649cc and 160hp, the transversely mounted straight-six engine allows smooth ride with responsive throttle response which makes to 652lb feeling like a kid bicycle once at city speeds. Entering in the Goldwing segment, BMW had to bring serious arguments to convince sport touring riders; as often with BMW, it did not disappoint since the K1600GT/GTL got designated the Best sport touring motorcycle by

This Beemer was acquired by the vendor almost exactly one decade ago on July 25, 2011 from BMW of Manhattan. Fully loaded, this BMW cruiser cost over $24,000 when it was acquired. Currently showing only 989 miles on the digital odometer, it has not been ridden in the last several, retained on static display. As such, mechanical recommissioning is recommended prior to active use. Cosmetically the machine shows well with wear commensurate with age, although there are some nicks on the saddle. Once sorted, this all-weather tourer—with a heated saddle no less—will no doubt vacuum up countless miles with glee.
