First registered to Honda Motor Europe, this is one of six Firestorms built for racing, overseen by Russell Savory for Honda Britain, who in turn sold this one to the British Moriwaki importers. The bike was further tuned, incorporating Moriwaki parts such as the ultra-rare carburettors and exhaust system, and was raced by Mark Ditchfield in Powerbike and British Superbike events during 1998 under the Moriwaki Honda Britain Racing banner. Heavily modified, the bike features a Spondon-braced frame and many Spondon components: swinging arm, clip-ons, footrest hangers, adjustable yokes and both sub-frames. Other top quality chassis components include Dymag wheels (quick release); AP Racing brake callipers and discs; and a carbon fibre fairing, ram air tubes and airbox.

The bike has recently been re-commissioned and serviced with all new fluids; Goodridge brake lines; reinforce fuel lines; Tsubaki chain; and fully rebuilt Penske rear shock and original Fireblade forks. The machine was last run in August 2021. With this lot comes a selection of Renthal sprockets and a pair of Spondon yoke inserts, enabling alteration of the steering offset.
This racing Firestorm is a remarkable survivor that retains practically all its original, period-correct parts and could easily be returned to its original livery. Ideal for use as a classic parade, track-day or race bike, it represents a rare opportunity to acquire an original race-prepared example. Offered with a V5C document and copy original V5.
