Footnotes

The Z50A was the second generation of Honda minibikes got the name "Monkeybike". It was the first monkeybike with front suspension.
This model is an original French version of the Z50A, ordered new by the famous French magazine " Podium " owned this time by the famous French Singer " Claude francois ".

In this time Podium made a very limited number of their "own" Z50A. They used a new ordered Honda Z50A as base and made their own limited " Podium" Monkey. We've been advised only 5 of these special 'Podium' monkeybikes were built. This limited series of Podium monkeys was given away to subscribers and readers of their magazine, the lucky winners of a contest.

This "Podium" Monkey is a real barnfind. Found in a barn in the South of France, the bike is complete but in need of restoration. This is a rare monkeybike and a real eye catcher, it will especially attract attention from bike and Claude Francois collectors. A rare find of a very rare limited edition, this Z50A comes with Belgian registration papers.

Honda Z50A « Monkey Bike – Claude François » 1973
Cadre n° Z50A-396969
Moteur n° Z50AE-436059
