Footnotes

The Peugeot 205 GTI is an iconic French hot hatchback that is thought to be one of the best ever produced. First introduced in April 1984, the 205 GTI became a quick success due to its playful nature and peppy 105bhp 1.6-litre engine. A 900kg hatchback that could do a 0-62mph run in just 8.7 seconds was staggering at the time, and as a result the car was a hit with young drivers and enthusiasts the like. This 1984 example is thought to be one of the oldest known surviving 205 GTIs in the UK. It has a fully stamped service book dating to when it was new, and it also comes equipped with its original owner's handbook. With the history file there is also a selection of old MOTs, and the car has recently been mechanically recommissioned after a period of dry storage. This is an original, early example with a low mileage of just 52,894 miles.
