The 986 Porsche Boxster is becoming increasingly sought-after in the classic market as enthusiasts begin to recognise its status as an immensely capable 2-seater roadster. In a world of four-cylinders and turbocharging, the 986 offers a range of six-cylinder engines, and this 1999 example is powered by a 201bhp naturally aspirated 2.5-litre flat-six. Paired with a manual transmission, the car offers an exceptional driving experience and this is further enhanced in this example by a short-throw gearbox. A modified cold air intake and a manual roof is also fitted, otherwise the car is completely stock (and the parts for the roof are available to change back if desired). There is a full service history equipped with the car, and all the drains have been checked and all of the common problem areas are dry. Known faults on the car include a temperamental central locking system, however the key still works using the door. Other than that the car is in excellent condition with its Ocean Jade blue paintwork, bodywork and black leather interior all presenting well. It is also reported to be running and driving as it should. This is a fine low mileage example of an appreciating classic.

Buyers Premium and Charges
Like the vast majority of auctioneers Bonhams charge what is known as a Buyer's Premium. Buyer's Premium on all Automobilia lots will adhere to Bonhams group policy:
27.5% on the first £10,000 of the hammer price;
25% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £10,001 up to and including £450,000; 20% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £450,001 up to and including £4,500,000 and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,001. (subject to VAT)
For Motor Cars and Motorcycles a 12.5% Buyer's Premium is payable on the final Hammer Price of each Lot. VAT at the standard rate is payable on the Premium by all Buyers, unless otherwise stated.
Some lots may be subject to VAT on the Hammer Price. These lots will be clearly marked with the relevant symbol printed beside the lot number in the catalogue.
Buyers' Obligations

Motor Cars
Vehicles must be collected from the sale venue by 12 noon on Monday 6 September 2021 after which they will be uplifted to store at the buyers expense.
Buyers should satisfy themselves that they have collected all relevant log books, documents and keys relating to their Lot(s) at time of collection. Otherwise Lots shall be removed to storage at the Buyer's expense (see below). Lots are at the Buyer's risk from the fall of the hammer. It is strongly advisable that overseas purchasers and absentee bidders make arrangements regarding collection with Bonhams MPH in advance of Sale.
Removal and Storage of Vehicles
All Lots not removed in accordance with the above will be transported by E M Rogers to their depot.

All Automobilia purchased lots must be cleared from the sale venue by 6pm on Sunday 5 September 2021. All un-collected purchased lots shall then be removed to Bonhams Guildford office at the buyers expense.
