Introduced as a replacement for the 1300 and 1400 in 1961, the Fiat 1500 was an all-new vehicle that was presented in saloon, estate, coupe and cabriolet body styles. The car offered a much more engaging driving experience over its predecessor with its lightweight construction, 75hp 1500cc engine and front disc brakes. This 1965 example was purchased by the vendor from a French gentleman in 2015 who had the car stored in his garage for almost 20 years. Upon purchase, the car was then moved to the vendor's holiday home in the south of France where the car was then restored and driven locally. Imported into the UK in 2019, the car is still in a very a good condition with its bodywork, paintwork and interior all presenting well. The engine is also running and driving well (however the engine bay area could require a clean and general visual improvement). The car also has an excellent history file with lots of receipts enclosed. A fun and usable classic Fiat.
