*Highly desirable Oak green metallic with BBS alloys
*Recent new clutch, brakes, cambelt and more
*Recent full service
*4 new Michelin pilot sport tyres
The successor to the iconic MK1 GTI, the MK2 had big shoes to fill upon its release in 1986 – and fill them it did. Not only did it look good with its bold 80s styling, but it also retained the classic GTI features that were popular in the MK1. The MK2 also performed exceptionally well, and added a level of practicality unseen in the MK1 due to its larger size. This example is a 1990 "big bumper" 3 door 16v model with sunroof and power steering. Finished in the unique and most desired oak green metallic with the classic 15" 80s BBS alloy wheels. The vendor is a GTI enthusiast and has in the past 12 months replaced the suspension, clutch, ball joints, track rod ends, wheel bearings, cambelt and all other drive belts. The car also has a recent brake system replacement and 4 Michelin Pilot Sport tyres dated 2019. The car has not suffered from rust / rot to the underside and is in good condition. The oak green paintwork is mostly original however some areas have been painted over the years. The rainbow interior is also original and in great condition as is the headlining. Overall, the exterior and interior is in good to very good condition. The car has covered 134,250 miles since new and was previously off the road in storage between 2013-2017. Following the work undertaken by the vendor the car now runs and drives very well, recently serviced with MOT till November 2021.
