A 1:8 scale scratchbuilt model of an Austin-Healey 100 by John Shinton of the Healey Toy Factory,

finely detailed limited edition kerbside model of the car with 'HTF 100' number plate, constructed from in excess of 200 white metal, stainless steel and pewter parts, resin body, finished in Healey blue paintwork, detailed interior and dashboard with instruments, folded-down soft-top/hood, lowered windscreen, wire-spoked wheels with rubber tyres, 46cm long, offered with an extra replacement raised windscreen, mounted on a display base with mirror-backed display case (some glass panels loose).

This model comes from the estate of the late "Roger" Reginald Davies Menadue (1912-2003), long time friend of Donald Healey and chief experimental engineer for the Donald Healey Motor Company and was gifted to Roger by Charles Matthews of Triple M.

Buyers Premium and Charges
Like the vast majority of auctioneers Bonhams charge what is known as a Buyer's Premium.
For Motor Cars and Motorcycles a 15% Buyer's Premium is payable on the first £500,000 of the final Hammer Price of each Lot, and 12% on any amount by which the Hammer Price exceeds £500,000. VAT at the standard rate is payable on the Premium by all Buyers, unless otherwise stated.
Buyer's Premium on all Automobilia lots will adhere to Bonhams group policy:
27.5% on the first £10,000 of the hammer price;
25% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £10,000 up to and including £450,000;
20% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £450,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
This applies to each lot purchased and is subject to VAT.
Some lots may be subject to VAT on the Hammer Price. These lots will be clearly marked with the relevant symbol printed beside the lot number in the catalogue.
Buyers' Obligations
ALL BIDDERS MUST AGREE THAT THEY HAVE READ AND UNDERSTOOD BONHAMS' CONDITIONS OF SALE AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THEM, AND AGREE TO PAY THE BUYER'S PREMIUM AND ANY OTHER CHARGES MENTIONED IN THE NOTICE TO BIDDERS. THIS AFFECTS THE BIDDERS LEGAL RIGHTS.
