Cadillac's model hierarchy continued a structure set in place in the pre-war period, with different wheelbases aiming at broadening the 'Standard of the World's' appeal. When hostilities ceased Cadillac's production lines had soon reverted to car production and saw two full-size model ranges, with the 70 being short wheelbase and the 75 long wheelbase. This 75 comes to auction with very good bodywork and good medium-silver paint; glass, trim and wheels/tyres are reported to be very good; the voluminous seven-seater interior, which features two jump seats, is in very good condition, the vendor says. Seating follows the European pattern of leather to the front and cloth to the rear. Engine starting, running and presentation are all reported to be very good and the running gear very good. Electrics too are said to be very good. Offered from an important UK based private collection the 75 is one not to be missed.
