MoT Expiry: 19/05/2021
*Said to be solid and has bills for a 2004 re-paint
*Long MoT test
*Stamped service books and old MoT test certificates
Presented in generally good order throughout this 1983 635CSi benefits from having a long MoT test and being described by the vendor as 'solid'. Re-painted in 2004 (bills on file) the vendor reports the body, paintwork and external trim to be good, as are the 15" BBS wheels/tyres. Notably the front spoiler shows no signs of kerbing. The original interior – in an appealing shade of mid-blue – is generally good, with some wear to the driver's seat bolster. The blue carpets are rated as good and the door cards and dashboard (with on-board computer) remains in good order with little sign of cracking or damage. Engine starting and running is reported to be good: the car was laid up in 2009 and re-commissioned in February this year, since when it has had a full service and is now said to be running and driving well, with good road damping and suppression. It is also reported to have a good turn of speed, BMW quoted 215bhp at launch! The engine bay remains tidy. Electric windows, sunroof and mirrors are all reported to be functioning correctly. Sensibly estimated for an early example ready to be enjoyed by the fortunate new owner.
A good opportunity to acquire a mainly original 635 that after long-term storage has recently been re-commissioned and has the benefit of a long MoT test. Presented in early form with the more comfortable leather seats and 4 speed auto gearbox, the ideal grand tourer with room for 4 adults and luggage.
