What the Esprit lacked in cylinders and cubic capacity it more than made up for in terms of handling and driver involvement, and such was its success it enjoyed a 28 year-long production run. This late S1 model (the S2 was launched in 1978) comes to market with vendor-assessed good bodywork, paint and trim and the interior (seats, door cards, headlining and trim) are also ranked as good. The engine is said to be good for starting and running and the underbonnet presentation is also ranked as good. Running gear and the electrical system also scores a vendor-ranked good.
An early example of Lotus' junior supercar coming to the sale in generally good condition but offering room for improvement if the new owner desires.
