The MkII remains one of the UK classic movement's most popular cars, having never fallen out of popularity. Here is possibly the most desirable model, being a 3.8 manual with a modern five-speed manual gearbox upgrade that benefits from the recent fitting of a new clutch. The trade vendor says the body and white paintwork, along with glass, external trim and wheels/tyres is in good condition while the interior boasts very good red seats, carpets and dashboard, the headlining and trim said to be in good condition. The engine, cooled by an aluminium radiator, is fitted with electronic ignition, is rated as good for starting and for running and the five-speed manual gearbox upgrade has, as already noted, been recently fitted with a new clutch. Brakes and suspension are rated as good and the electrical system is reported to be good.
A 3.8 with useful upgrades including five-speed manual gearbox and electronic ignition, and coming with bills detailing £11,000 worth of work over the last 10 years.
