Bonhams are delighted to offer this luxury vintage fully reconditioned Airstream International Overlander which featuring many modern luxury and technical improvements from a three year restoration built to travel across Europe and beyond. There are caravans, and then there are Airstreams, but even among Airstreams this example, that has had more than £90,000 spent on it stands out, not least because of the extensive polishing carried out to bring back its all-reflecting allure. This 1971 example's real details are out of sight, however, but they make being inside every bit as comfortable as being in a decent hotel. Refinements include stripping out and re-lining the interior, fitting new storage batteries, fitting new air-conditioning and gas central heating systems, installing a shower unit and as well as bespoke bedding and leatherwork. Power can be supplied from three sources: plugged in on-site, the on-board batteries or from a silenced diesel generator. Full specification includes Air conditioning / Gas central heating / Water heater / Fresh water tank / Waste tank .
