In the 1950s and 1960s owners of small businesses, whether butcher, baker or the very last of the candlestick makers had a fair choice of small car-derived vans to choose as works hack. Alongside the Morris Minor, Ford Anglia and Standard Pennant Austin offered its A35 van and MPH is delighted to offer this charming, older-restored example. With good bodywork, paint, trim and wheels/tyres, it has a pleasingly mellowed air that is all too often lost when these vehicles are over-restored. The interior is in equally good, usable condition, seats, dashboard, doors and headlining all being very tidy, Interested parties should note the desirable rear seat conversion is fitted. Reported to be running and starting well, its braking performance has been boosted by a brake overhaul: electrics are in good order too, our vendor notes. Ready for its next owner this charming, practical van would make the ideal classic motor sport support vehicle: James Hunt owned one, which is surely the best endorsement this van can have.
