Footnotes

This car has been French owned and registered since at least the mid-1950s. It was acquired in 1984 by well-known Lancia connoisseur, Claude Grazmuller of Paris, who kept and regularly used the Lambda until 2014 when it was bought by a leading European Lancia collector who treated the car to a comprehensive and sensitive restoration. The car was overhauled mechanically as necessary by respected father-and-son Lambda experts, Mike and Nick Benwell; the engine, transmission, brakes, suspension and electrics were all rebuilt; new wheels were made to the original pattern and new Michelin tyres of correct size fitted, while the original interior was preserved and refurbished. A new hood, side screens and tonneau covers were made by Mike Thomas Trimming, well known for sympathetic trimming of pre-war cars. After the work was completed, the car was thoroughly road-tested and all necessary adjustments carried out.

This fine and elegant Lambda, fully restored but retaining its original character and patina, is 'on the button' and ready for touring and long-distance events, including the 2021 international Lambda reunion at the Fobello home of its inspired creator, Vincenzo Lancia. A detailed file is available for inspection and the car also comes with a French Carte Grise and invoices for all the work carried out by the present owner.
