Footnotes

By the mid-1960s, 50 percent of all Ferrari road cars produced were being built with four seats. Introduced towards the end of 1972, the 365 GT4 2+2 was the biggest and best equipped four-seater Ferrari so far. Flagship of the Maranello range, it reaffirmed Ferrari's determination to compete with the world's finest luxury saloons. Based on the preceding 365 GT 2+2, albeit lower, longer and wider, the newcomer was fitted with a four-cam version of the 4.4-litre V12 engine while retaining its predecessor's mechanical underpinnings. A total of only 524 had been completed by the time production ceased in 1976.

This fine example was imported from Sweden into Germany and carefully restored in 2016 at Schröder & Langenfeld in Aachen at a cost of €12,734 (invoice available). Works carried out included an engine rebuild; sandblasting and re-sealing the under-body; a complete repaint in original metallic green livery; refurbishing the original and slightly mellowed tan leather interior; and fitting new tyres. Only a nominal mileage has been covered since the restoration's completion and the car is presented in excellent condition both mechanically and cosmetically. The car comes with all its Swedish documentation, and an owner's manual, etc in its Ferrari leather wallet.

Ferrari 365 GT4 2+2 coupé 1973
Carrosserie Pininfarina
