Just three owners (the last for 20 years) ensures this limited edition Elan (no. 88 of 800) stands out. After 10 years in France, where it was stored in temperature-controlled conditions, it returned to the UK and more recently has been looked after by Lotus experts Bell and Colvill, work including the fitting of a new exhaust system. Hood and window seals are the originals and regular use, including following the Mille Miglia and touring France has kept it well exercised which, in combination with its maintenance (new Michelin Pilot Sport tyres have been fitted recently), makes it a highly usable and rewarding latter-day classic. The bodywork and wheels show signs of use but said to be driving superbly, it should amply reward its new owner.
