Right up to the end of its production run the first-generation Renault was highly popular in the British market. This late Oxfordshire-registered Mk1 Le Car 2 shows 36,000 miles and while its history is brief there is enough to confirm its originality. Rarely seen in beige, the bodywork is in very good order, the front wings and all four wheel arches showing no corrosion while the colour-coded bumpers show no paint fading or damage. The interior – completely original – has lasted very well and wants for nothing. Mechanically in good order the engine starts and runs well, while the running gear is original.
