Mercedes-Benz' R107 SL model more than amply filled the shoes of the 'Pagoda' predecessor and it still offers daily driver convenience being refined and rapid, supported by a good spares back-up and numerous independent specialists. Off the road since last Spring, this example shows some rust to rear wheelarches but otherwise is good, displaying good shutlines and reasonable paint. The blue interior is in good order, the seats having no signs of wear and the dashboard/instrumentation is well presented. The engine bay is tidy but can be brought up to scratch with some effort. In all a fine opportunity and one offering scope for improvement.
