Purchased by the vendor some 21 years ago from Ginger Dann – a specialist restorer of Ford V8s. An original right-hand drive example delivered new to Argentina and subsequently imported to the UK. The restoration included a total strip to bare metal, professional repaint, new leather interior, with the engine and gearbox fully rebuilt.
Subsequent improvements include conversion of brakes to hydraulic actuation, with new cylinders and shoes; flashing indicators and an inline fuel primer to eradicate fuel vaporisation in hot weather. Earlier this year a new radiator was fitted. The vendor has enjoyed many continental touring trips to France, Belgium and Holland, and also for local shows as a V8 Club member. Included with the car is the vendor's continental touring kit comprising distributor, coil, plugs, bulbs etc. Offered with a great history file, running spares and V5C registration document this V8 is a fantastic example of its type.
